Sidr Productions won third prize at PBAKL 2025 — Pesta Buku Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur, the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair.
PBAKL has been held since 1981 and is recognised as the largest book fair in Malaysia and one of the largest in Southeast Asia. It brings publishers, booksellers, schools, librarians and families into the same halls at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, which makes recognition there count for something with every one of those audiences at once.
Malaysia has since become one of the most important places our books are read. Eight titles were selected by the Ministry of Education as recommended reading and taken into the collections of four state libraries; the whole catalogue went on sale at BookXcess; and Sidr storybooks now reach families through Big Bad Wolf sales in Malaysia and Indonesia.
Since PBAKL, two of our titles have been nominated for the Palestine Book Award 2026 and My Quran Journey has been named a finalist at the GESS Education Awards 2026.
Our thanks to the organisers of PBAKL, and to the readers who came to find us there.
